Nikki Evans, age 29, is the centre forward on the Irish Women’s hockey team who recently qualified for Tokyo 2020, a first for the squad. The history-making team were the first Irish sports team ever to reach a World Cup final and win a silver medal. Nikki is approaching 200 caps for Ireland scoring over 50 goals to date. She is entering her 10th year as an influential member of the national team, she is renowned for her athleticism and unrelenting work rate. She has enjoyed resounding success in the domestic game, winning all major competitions.
Nikki is a qualified lawyer, working part time with Mason Hayes & Curran. She previously played abroad professionally in the German Hockey League with UHC Hamburg for two seasons, helping them to silver medals in the Bundesliga Championship as well as the European Champions Cup.
In 2020, Nikki will be hoping to represent Ireland and the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
